Anita Khuttan is an experienced and committed educator with over 16 years in the classroom. She spent 10 years teaching in the UK, where she delivered the British curriculum across a range of year groups. Seeking new challenges and a broader educational perspective, she moved to the UAE, where she has spent the last six years teaching within an IB framework. This international experience has deepened her understanding of diverse teaching methodologies and enriched her approach to planning and delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning.
Anita firmly believes that children learn best in positive, hands-on, and inclusive environments where they feel happy, supported, and inspired. Throughout her career, she has helped children build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social skills through creative and meaningful lessons.
In addition to her work with students, Anita has a passion for mentoring and coaching fellow educators. She has supported colleagues through collaborative planning, idea sharing, and driving consistency across teams. For Anita, growth is at the heart of everything she does—both for the children she teaches and the adults she works alongside.
Outside the classroom, Anita is also a published author and illustrator of children’s books. Her journey into publishing began during the pandemic, when she was inspired to help children make sense of the world through comforting, age-appropriate stories. This led to the creation and publication of three children’s books, blending her love of storytelling with her deep commitment to education. Seeing her stories in the hands of young readers has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of her career.
A keen traveller, Anita loves immersing herself in different cultures, exploring new landscapes, and learning from the diverse people and places she encounters. Her travels have taken her to destinations such as Japan, India, Iceland, Switzerland, Norway, China, Greece, and Italy—each trip fuelling her creativity and broadening her global perspective.
Anita’s work in education and publishing reflects her passion for inspiring young minds and making learning truly meaningful. She is now excited to join the team at Bloom World Academy, where she looks forward to beginning a new and rewarding chapter in her educational journey.
