Rosie Wallace is a dedicated and dynamic educator from Scotland, with experience ranging from studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) to teaching the Scottish National Curriculum. A First-Class Honours Graduate in the Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education from the University of Strathclyde, Rosie has a passion for education and academic excellence.
Rosie is particularly inspired by the inquiry based Primary Years Programme (PYP). She believes it enables learners to become internationally minded and independent leaders of learning. Rosie prides herself on empowering students, through a nurture centred approach aimed at meeting the needs of each student.
With specialism in Modern Foreign Languages, particularly Spanish, Rosie champions bilingualism and cultural awareness in the classroom. Rosie believes language helps to shape learner identity and develop an international mindset.
Outside the classroom, Rosie has a passion for health and wellbeing. For five years, Rosie represented Scotland’s National Basketball team, competing internationally for her home country across Europe. Now, Rosie utilises her love of sport to foster resilience, teamwork and self-confidence into her students. As a runner now, Rosie recognises the importance of health and wellbeing, and this inspires her nurtured centred approach in meeting the needs of the whole child.
Rosie’s passion for education is rooted in a family tradition of teaching and a lifelong exposure to international contexts, especially through strong personal ties to the UAE. These experiences continue to fuel her love for travel, cultural exchange, and ongoing professional growth.
