Eric Corcoran was born and raised in the sunny southeast of Ireland, hailing from the city of Waterford. A fully qualified secondary school teacher, Eric specialises in Business Management, Economics, and History. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from University College Cork, a Professional Diploma in Education from the University of Limerick, and a Higher Diploma in Business Studies from the National University of Ireland Galway, where he graduated with First Class Honours.
Eric brings over a decade of teaching experience to Bloom World Academy, having worked in schools across Ireland, England, and the UAE. Prior to joining BWA, he taught at GEMS World Academy in Dubai, where he delivered the IB DP Business Management curriculum and played a key role in curriculum development, student mentoring, and Extended Essay supervision. He has also taught the IB MYP, IGCSE, AS/A-Level and AP programmes.
Outside the classroom, Eric is passionate about sport, particularly football and golf. He has represented his county in football and coached youth teams across several schools.
Eric believes in fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that challenges students while supporting their personal and academic growth.
