Sophie Letourmy is a dedicated and motivated French teacher from Co. Mayo, Ireland. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in French with Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Limerick, and a Professional Masters of Education from Hibernia College. With two years of teaching experience at a large secondary school in Ireland, Sophie is committed to creating dynamic and engaging learning environments that encourage active participation and a deep appreciation for the French language.
Sophie’s teaching philosophy is centered on fostering a love for languages that extends beyond the classroom. She believes in the importance of making connections between language learning and real-world applications, thereby inspiring her students to explore the beauty and complexities of the French language and aid them in developing a lifelong appreciation for the language and culture.
Outside of teaching, Sophie enjoys exploring new cuisines through cooking, staying active, and immersing herself in different cultures.
