Sean Duffy

Sean Duffy is Vice Principal at Bloom World Academy, with over a decade of experience in education across the UK and UAE. He has held a range of leadership roles spanning curriculum, assessment, teaching and learning, pastoral care, safeguarding and post-16 education.

A graduate of Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, Sean also holds a PGCE in English, QTS and the NPQSL. Before moving to Dubai, he worked in senior leadership within a large post-16 partnership in the UK, helping to develop programmes that supported students with university pathways, academic achievement and preparation for life beyond school. This work contributed to the partnership receiving a Pearson Award for Collaboration through Partnership.

At Bloom World Academy, Sean has held leadership responsibility across a number of areas including assessment and reporting, teaching and learning, curriculum development, student outcomes and the continued development of the school’s IB programmes. He is particularly interested in how schools use evidence, high expectations and strong relationships to improve the experience and outcomes of students.

Outside of school, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, as well as football, golf and sport more broadly.
