Amarjit Lall is a highly experienced educator and previous leader in education from England, with over 30 years of teaching experience across the Early years and Primary. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth and Childhood studies from the Open university, as well as a Montessorri teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status licence from the UK. Having taught both the English National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate in various countries, including the UK, Germany, and the UAE, she is a passionate advocate of the inquiry-based Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Amarjit believes that PYP’s emphasis on international-mindedness and independent inquiry baised learning empowers students to make connections to the real world and take action based on their learning. Engaging in continoius training courses to further develop her subject knowledge such as the Role of the Art teacher in the PYP and catogory 3 /4 courses in Bilingualism. Amarjit endevours to stay current and relevant in her subject knowledge embarking on a digital arts course.
In 2005, Amarjit moved with her husband to the UAE having worked in an international school in Germany for 8 years. As a mother of two adult daughters, she enjoys spending time with them when possible, painting and engaging in the Arts. In addition to her passion for education, Amarjit is interested in exploring the world, learning about different cultures, food, music and generally enjoys traveling.
