Aylin Durmuş is a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher from Germany, who successfully completed her Master’s degree in German, Mathematics, and Sports. Additionally, she is specialized in German as a Second Language (DaZ) and German as a Foreign Language (DaF).
Over the past three years, Aylin has taught various subjects at the German International School Dubai. This experience has given her a deep understanding of the linguistic and cultural challenges faced by students in a diverse environment like Dubai.
To ensure all children participate and benefit from her lessons, she places great emphasis on language-sensitive instruction. Using various teaching methods, she also conveys the German language across different subjects. A practical unit with efficient methods was presented by Aylin Durmuş in her article on language-sensitive physical education in an academic journal by Friedrich-Verlag in 2022.
As a physical education teacher, Aylin loves to integrate movement games into her language lessons to motivate the kids and making language learning holistic as active.
Through her studies in sports, Aylin has been exposed to a wide range of activities. She enjoys both indoor and outdoor pursuits, including practicing yoga, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding in the desert. Her passion for travel began during her stay in Australia, inspiring her to explore new cultures and cuisines.
