Erika Da Costa Li is a highly experienced bilingual educator and leader with a passion for teaching Humanities within the MYP. Originally from Canada, this positive and enthusiastic educator holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia University, Montreal and has taught in Canada, Bermuda and Monaco.

Erika’s teaching journey has been marked by her commitment to pastoral leadership roles, with a specific focus on the adolescent years. She believes in the holistic development of her students and places a strong emphasis on their well-being. Erika embraces the IB Learner Profile, fostering traits such as being knowledgeable, open-minded, and reflective in her teaching practice.

As a family of four, Erika and her loved ones have embraced a unique lifestyle that complements her role as an educator. Traveling is a family passion and most recently, they spent the year exploring the world, immersing themselves in different cultures, and experiencing the rich history and geography of various regions. This firsthand global experience allows Erika to bring a wealth of real-world knowledge and perspectives into her classroom, enriching the learning experiences of her students.

Throughout her 24 year career, Erika has demonstrated a deep dedication to her students and their education. Her passion for teaching in a creative, forward thinking manner, coupled with her commitment to the well-being and holistic development of her students, makes her a highly respected and influential educator.
