Melissa Hamlett is a dedicated and passionate educator from England with a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education with QTS from Manchester Metropolitan University in Cheshire. She specialises in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Primo), and also has experience of working with high school-aged students, giving her a well-rounded understanding of child development.

Melissa believes in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. Her teaching is rooted in a play-based, child-led approach, using creative, hands-on lessons and continuous provision to promote independence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Melissa builds strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, understanding the importance of working in partnership to support each child’s wellbeing and progress. Melissa sets high expectations and encourages all learners to be confident, imaginative, and resilient problem solvers.

Melissa will be moving to the UAE with her husband and their three children. Outside of the classroom, Melissa is a coffee lover who enjoys baking with her children, trying new creative activities  and cheering on her children at their competitive football matches. She is looking forward to joining BWA and to be part the wider school community.
